Helen Keller ABOUT US   Self Investment Company was founded in 1985 by Sumner Davenport as a source for entrepreneurs who were investing in their dreams. In 1994, Self-Investment began it's new life and journey as a LLC, attracting members of various professions to provide services to entrepreneurs and start up businesses. As many entrepreneurs enter the new arena with the experience and knowledge of an employee, we found a niche to educate and assist. We began working together with new entrepreneurs when they needed a business plan in order to launch their businesses and/or take it to the next level of success and profit.  In 1997 we expanded our services to include Entrepreneur Education, bringing together entrepreneurs and educators.  These independent educators are working professionals and who have extensive experience and business success in the areas in which they teach.  Regularly, our members team grows as it includes other independent business professionals who provide products and services to encourage and assist individuals to invest in themselves, their health, their dreams and aspirations, their spiritual growth, their career and business, and more. At the same time, we seek out independent resources to fill in the gaps that our members don't supply, in order to expand our list of referral sources for our clients. Most people are doing the best they are capable of, with what they know and what they have to work with every day. By saying a person needs to improve something suggests that they are wrong, are incomplete or imperfect by someone else's standards, A great deal of guilt and damage is made to a person's self esteem when they believe they are not as successful, as beautiful, as wealthy, as (fill in the blank) as someone else. There is a great amount of media and marketing that suggest a product, a look, a job or (fill in the blank) will improve a person. We believe that the choices we make in our personal and professional life, are based on the information we have at the moment, our premature cognitive commitments, our experiences, our education, our fears and other reactions.
